Employees Donate $27,000 for Disabled

LONG BEACH — McDonnell Douglas West-Personnel Community Service recently donated $27,000 to the Long Beach City College Foundation Adaptive Physical Education Associates to buy a computerized treadmill for use by disabled students in the Adaptive Physical Education program. The funds from McDonnell Douglas West represent donations from employees.
Adaptive physical education classes are offered at Long Beach City College to give physically handicapped persons an opportunity to strengthen muscles and lead a more active life. The associates are seeking additional support to buy equipment for the center. For more information, call 420-4267.
