An electrical fire caused $135,000 damage to a family-owned restaurant Wednesday in Llano, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.
The fire was reported at the Llano Inn in the 17000 block of Pearblossom Highway at 3:14 a.m., Firefighter Joe Almazan said. It was contained by about 50 firefighters in 45 minutes. There were no injuries.
Almazan said the business was 45% destroyed. It was in a building that has served as a restaurant under several names for at least 40 years in the small community east of Palmdale. Investigators listed the cause as an electrical short.
Phil Indovina, who owns the restaurant with his sister and brother-in-law, surveyed the damage Wednesday morning and said he was unsure whether the family would rebuild.
“I can’t say,” he said. “It will take a little time. Everything is pretty well damaged.”
