NATION : Woman’s Death Penalty Upheld

CARSON CITY, Nev. — Priscilla Ford lost again today in a Nevada Supreme Court bid to overturn her death sentence for using her car to mow down and kill seven people and injure 22 others on a crowded Reno sidewalk.
The high court rejected a claim from Ford, 60, the only woman under sentence of death in Nevada, that she had ineffective legal counsel during her trial for the Thanksgiving Day 1980 killings.
