TUNIS, Tunisia — Specialists on Wednesday were trying to free a Saudi jumbo jet that has been stuck in the mud since Sunday, civil aviation sources said.
A Boeing 747 of the Saudi airline Saudia got stuck at the end of a runway at the airport in Tunis after a bad landing, the aviation sources said.
The plane, on a flight from Jidda to Casablanca via Tunis, touched down too far along the runway and ran off the end, they said. No passengers were injured and the aircraft suffered little damage.
