U.S. Attorney Who Prosecuted Officials Quits

ATLANTA — U.S. Atty. Robert L. Barr Jr., who prosecuted former U.S. Rep. Pat Swindall and other public officials, announced Friday that he is resigning to become president of a conservative public-interest law firm.
Barr, whose resignation is effective Feb. 1, will run the Atlanta-based Southeastern Legal Foundation.
