9 Anti-Abortion Protesters Bound Together Arrested

CHARLESTON, W. Va. — Nine protesters bound together with tires and pipes were arrested Saturday in what police said was the first anti-abortion sit-in at an abortion clinic in the state capital and perhaps the first in the state. It took rescue crews 90 minutes to saw through the makeshift bonds so the demonstrators, all from out of state, could be taken away.
