Football player Tommie Gray of Cal State Northridge died of natural causes, according to the L.A. County coroner’s office.
Gray, 21, collapsed and died of a heart attack Dec. 15 while visiting with friends in Northridge. A spokesman for the coroner’s office said Gray died of conjunctive cardiomyopathy, the result of an enlarged heart.
Gray, a 6-foot-3, 235-pound from Modesto, started at nose tackle for the Matadors.
