Burns Turns 94, Records Song and Stars in Video: Celebrating his 94th birthday, comedian George Burns added a new accomplishment to his long list. Burns, along with a roster of big-name celebrities, has recorded a single and taped a video to benefit retinitis pigmentosa, a degenerative eye disease. The single and video “Forgotten Eyes” also featured Bob Hope, Steve Allen, Sammy Davis Jr., Dionne Warwick, Smokey Robinson, Angie Dickinson, Herbie Hancock, Patti LaBelle, Andre Crouch and Jack Jones. The single will be released in more than 100 countries with all proceeds aiding retinis pigmentosa, which strikes one in 80 people, mostly children, and leads to eventual blindness.
