Brajdas Corp., the Woodland Hills wholesale distributor of electronic components, said it recorded a loss of $416,944 in the third quarter that ended Nov. 30, compared to a net income of $265,969 a year earlier. The company’s sales for the third period fell 3% to $14.7 million from $15.2 million a year before.
For the nine-month period, Brajdas said it lost $783,346, compared to a profit of $2 million a year before. The company’s nine-month sales fell 4% to $46.3 million from $48.4 million a year earlier.
Brajdas attributed the loss to weak sales compounded by an increase in some business costs.
