Micropolis Seeks to Line Up New Loan

Micropolis Corp., the Chatsworth disk-drive maker, said it is negotiating a one-year loan to replace its $12.8-million credit facility--a combination of a loan and a line of credit. Meanwhile, Micropolis has extended the due date on its short-term loan and line of credit to March 15. The company, which has been undergoing financial problems, did not specify the lenders involved, but said it hopes to have settled its debt negotiations by that date.
