Frank Kim, a San Joaquin County superior court judge, agreed to move the murder trial of former sports agent Michael Blatt out of Stockton because of pretrial publicity.
The defense presented more than 500 news articles about the case, in which Blatt is accused of hiring the murder of Laurence Carnegie, a former business partner, in February of 1989.
Kim continued the case until Feb. 2, when he will decide where the trial will be held. Blatt is a former general manager of the Seattle Seahawks.
