Canyon Stuns Antelope Valley, 51-49

Reggie Haggans hit three free throws down the stretch to help Canyon High hold off Antelope Valley and claim a 51-49 upset of the Antelopes in a Golden League game Friday night at Canyon.
Chris Walters converted a one-and-one situation for Antelope Valley to trim the deficit to two points with 12 seconds to play, but he missed a desperation three-point shot at the buzzer as Canyon staved off a rally by the Antelopes. Walters scored 12 points for Antelope Valley (17-4, 5-1 in league play), and Brock Chase added 11.
Haggans made a free throw to break a 47-47 tie with 3 minutes 49 seconds to play to give Canyon the lead for good.
Canyon (15-5, 4-2) was paced by Jon Civita (10 points). Jermaine Nixon, Mike Dobes, and Lance Moore each scored seven.
