Furnishings 2000, which operates 41 home furnishings stores in California, has agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit brought in 1988 that alleged sex discrimination in the San Diego-based company. A Superior Court judge in Hayward tentative approval to the proposed settlement as a result of a joint petition by counsel for Furnishings 2000 and a class action counsel, the company said.
