A Ramona physician charged with 23 counts of child molestation and sexual exploitation of children, posted bond Friday, law enforcement officials said.
Held on $250,000 bail, Dr. John Byron DeKock, 62, put up $600,000 worth of property as collateral late Friday, according to Sheriff’s Detective Michael Radovich. The conditions of his freedom are strict: DeKock is not allowed direct or indirect contact with the victim, the 11-year-old son of DeKock’s stepson. He is not permitted to practice medicine, and he is forbidden from having contact with minors.
DeKock, a registered sex offender who was found guilty of one count of child molestation in 1961, has pleaded not guilty.
