Mary Yeager; Leader in Riverside Organizations

Mary Barbara Gibbs Yeager, a prominent Riverside community leader, died Friday at her Riverside home after a long battle with cancer. She was 64.
A native of Pasadena and graduate of UC Berkeley, Mrs. Yeager taught kindergarten in San Marino until her marriage to Jacques Stalder Yeager, of the E. L. Yeager Construction Co.
She worked diligently with the Salvation Army, the Riverside Community Hospital Foundation, the Riverside California Museum of Photography and the Wellness Community.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Yeager is survived by five children, Matthew Yeager of Pasadena, Jane Chandler of La Canada Flintridge, Anne Higgins of San Marino and Susan Summerour and Jacques S. Yeager Jr., both of Riverside; a brother, George Gibbs of Seattle; a sister, Eleanor Wilson of San Marino, and six grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday in All Saints Episcopal Church, 3847 Terracina Drive, Riverside. The family has asked that any memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, Wellness Community, UC Irvine Medical Center or Riverside Community Hospital Foundation.
