WORLD IN BRIEF : ALBANIA : U.N. Chief Presses Human Rights Issue

U.N. Secretary General Javier Perez de Cuellar stressed human rights on the first official visit by a U.N. chief to Albania, telling leaders of the orthodox Communist state that progress cannot be achieved without personal freedom. But he also welcomed Albania’s recent reforms, including restoration of some religious rights and freedom to travel.
