Hoag Expanding: Hoag Hospital has begun construction of a 53,000-square-foot medical office building in Huntington Beach that will house private physicians’ offices, a women’s health center and facilities for community education programs. The building at 19582 Beach Blvd. is expected to be completed by the summer of 1991.
“Huntington Beach is a very important market for us and one of our most important sources of patients for the hospital,” said Mary Kay Meltvedt, Hoag’s director of program development. Hoag is competing with the city’s two hospitals in Huntington Beach: Humana Hospital of Huntington Beach and Pacifica Community Hospital.
This is Hoag’s fourth community satellite facility. It also operates Newport Surgicenter, Hoag Health Center of Irvine and Hoag Women’s Health Center of Huntington Beach.
