Limits on Baby Carriages in Subways Evoke Outcry

NEW YORK — Twenty babies and their stroller-pushing parents protested Friday in a subway station to challenge a Transit Authority order to enforce rules restricting carriage access to the system.
In a recent TA directive, parents with strollers would be allowed to use turnstiles but could not pass through gates. The TA says other people slip through gates illegally at the same time as the strollers.
