Kronemann Makes His Pro Debut in Doubles

Mike Briggs and Trevor Kronemann are the top-seeded men’s doubles team and Kathy May Paben and Stephanie Rehe are the top-seeded women at the Adoption Guild charity tournament, which begins today at several sites.

Elimination matches begin today at the Balboa Bay Racquet Club, the John Wayne Tennis Club, Mesa Verde, the Newport Beach Tennis Club, the Newport Marriott, Park Newport and the Racquet Club of Irvine. The finals are scheduled for June 2 and 3 at the Newport Beach Tennis Club.

Kronemann, a standout at UC Irvine who was upset in the first round of the NCAA tournament last week, will make his professional debut. Briggs is a former UC Irvine and Corona del Mar standout who’s playing on the pro tour.
