Charlie Rose Picked for New Show: Charlie Rose, anchor of CBS News’ “Nightwatch,” will anchor the syndicated series “Personalities” starting in September. The show is being called the first daily syndicated magazine focusing solely on people making headlines, including sports, entertainment and government figures. Rose left the “Night-watch” program this week after anchoring it for the past six years. He has also served as anchor for “Face the Nation,” “CBS Morning News’ and “CBS This Morning.”
