Nosotros Awards:: Raul Julia was named the year’s outstanding actor, and Rosana De Sota the year’s outstanding actress at the 20th annual Nosotros Golden Eagle Awards honoring Latino achievement in the entertainment industry. Special awards went to farm labor organizer Cesar Chavez, who received a lifetime achievement award, and entertainer Bob Hope, who was honored for his “tireless efforts on behalf of dozens of organizations.” Gloria Estefan was named outstanding female performer during the Beverly Hilton ceremony, and Emmanuel was named outstanding male performer.
