A Taiwanese businessman was shot to death early this morning after a struggle in the driveway of his San Marino home.
Police said the motive for the attack in the 1300 block of Bradbury Road was not clear. A neighbor heard a car drive away moments after three shots were fired. No suspects were identified or in custody.
Sheriff’s deputies said the victim, whose name was withheld pending notification of relatives, apparently was attacked at about 12:20 a.m. after parking his car in a garage at the rear of the modest single-story home. A San Marino police officer who heard the shots arrived to find the victim sprawled in the driveway amid signs of a struggle. Detectives said the victim, who ran an import-export business in Los Angeles, had moved into the home with his wife about two weeks ago.
