U.S. to Play Soviets in Water Polo Exhibition

The U.S. National water polo team will play the Soviet National team in an exhibition match Aug. 4 at Newport Harbor High School.

Match time and ticket availability and price will be announced later.

The match at Newport Harbor will be the second in a three-game series. The teams will play Aug. 3 at UC San Diego and Aug. 5 at Fresno State.

The teams will feature the same players who will participate in the Goodwill Games July 20 through Aug. 5 in Seattle. The U.S. team won the silver medal and the Soviet Union the bronze in the 1988 Olympics at Seoul.
