Harvard in Semifinals of Water Polo Event

The Harvard Water Polo Foundation club swept to victories over the Malibu Water Polo Club and the New York Athletic Club on Saturday to reach the semifinals of a national tournament in Seattle.
Harvard rolled past Malibu, 17-8, on three-goal performances from Kirk Everist and Robert Lynn. Craig Wilson, a two-time Olympic silver medalist with the U. S. national team, turned back 10 shots in goal for Harvard.
In the second game, Jeff Chase scored six goals to pace a 13-9 win over the NYAC. Wilson made 11 saves in that match.
Harvard will play Sunset of San Diego, a club team composed primarily of players from UC San Diego, in its semifinal today. Long Beach will play Delta, composed of players from the University of the Pacific, in the other semifinal with the winners meeting this afternoon in the title match.
