THE EYE THINKS

No doubt “Good Reputation Sleeping,” executed by Manuel Alvarez Bravo many years ago, will raise the eyebrows (if not the ire) of the more conservative portion of your readership who may not be appreciative of photographic art. I, for one, simply wish to thank you for exposing me to a photographer whose work I previously was unaware of. “Portrait of the Eternal” is an incredible piece in a black-and-white world in which Edward Weston and Ansel Adams dominate.
