My wife and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Waikoloa (“Why Fool With Paradise?” by Jerry Hulse, July 8) in May. We found the hotel simply delightful. We had a $215-a-day room and rented a convertible for the weekend to visit all the little towns on the island, including Hilo. One night, we ate at Merriman’s and another night at the Edelweiss in Waimea. We visited the other hotels mentioned in the article and found they didn’t compare to the Hyatt. Once in a while there is nothing wrong in spending some time in paradise.
