San Gabriel : Drug Prevention Program

The Police Department on Monday will kick off an anti-drug and anti-gang program to educate schoolchildren about the dangers of substance abuse and gang involvement.
SANE--Substance Abuse Narcotics Education--targets children in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades.
Two police officers have been assigned to teach courses on drug use and gang violence.
The SANE program was established by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department five years ago.
