Countywide : Colleges and Faculty Agree on Contract

The Ventura County Community College District and its teachers reached a tentative one-year contract agreement, both parties announced Wednesday.
Under the settlement, both part- and full-time faculty members will receive a 4% salary increase beginning July 1 and another 4% increase in February, 1991.
The district also agreed to allow both parents to take two weeks off upon birth or adoption of a child and to allow teachers to transfer sick leave days to colleagues with prolonged illnesses.
With Wednesday’s agreement with the Ventura County Federation of College Teachers, the collegedistrict has successfully concluded contract negotiations with all its employees, college board President Greg Kampf said.
