Japanese Firm Plans Airbus Contract: Kawasaki Heavy Industries said it plans to make fuselage parts for Europe’s Airbus Industrie in a departure from the Japanese aircraft industry’s long-term dealings with Boeing Co. of the United States. Kawasaki said it expected to sign a contract by mid-October.
