Geiger Reportedly Takes Maryland Job

SAN FRANCISCO — Longtime Stanford University Athletic Director Andy Geiger will become athletic director at the University of Maryland, a Bay Area newspaper reported in Friday’s editions.

The San Francisco Chronicle said it learned Thursday that Geiger is leaving Stanford from unidentified East Coast sources. The newspaper said it learned that Geiger told the Stanford athletic department that he will take the Maryland post.
