Fletcher Closer to Defending Surf Meet Title

San Clemente’s Christian Fletcher moved one round closer to defending his title Friday in the Body Glove Surf Bout III at Camp Pendleton.
Fletcher finished second in his heat to winner David Giddings of Corona del Mar, but that was good enough to advance. Fletcher and Giddings move on as two of 32 qualifiers who will go against the top 32 seeded surfers today.
