Confirmation Hearings Set for Live Telecast

KCET Channel 28 will pre-empt its daytime schedule from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, Friday and Monday to cover the confirmation hearings of U.S. Supreme Court nominee David Souter.
Starting this weekend, KLCS Channel 58 will air the hearings, in order, on a tape-delay schedule: 3-11 p.m. Saturday, 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, and 5:30 p.m.-1:30 a.m. Monday. If a fourth hearing is necessary, it would be shown Sept. 30, 3-11 p.m. If not, the third hearing will be repeated in that time period.
