The Irvine-based Pacific Symphony has been awarded three grants totaling $250,000. The Segerstrom Foundation and Western Digital each have donated $100,000, to be given over four-year periods, to benefit the orchestra’s Annual Sustaining Fund in support of concerts at the Orange County Performing Arts Center and communitywide educational programs. A $50,000 grant has been given by the federal government’s Community Development Block Grant Program, through the city of Santa Ana, for structural improvements to Pacific Symphony Center, the orchestra’s Santa Ana rehearsal hall. The hall is a registered historic landmark.
