PREP ROUNDUP : Wilson’s 14 Kills Lead Orange Past Western in Volleyball

Amy Wilson had 14 kills to lead Orange High School to a 5-15, 16-18, 15-9, 15-2, 15-12 victory over visiting Western in a nonleague girls’ volleyball match Wednesday.
In other nonleague girls’ volleyball matches:
Orange Lutheran 3, Century 0--Becky Pearson led Orange Lutheran (1-1) to a 15-4, 15-4, 15-12 victory over host Century (0-1).
St. Margaret’s 3, Santa Fe Christian 0--Hilary Albers had five kills to lead visiting St. Margaret’s (2-0) to a 15-7, 15-6, 15-7 victory.
In nonleague water polo:
Laguna Hills 17, Huntington Beach 8--Chad Carvin had six goals to lead host Laguna Hills (1-0).
In nonleague girls’ tennis
Corona del Mar 15, Edison 3--Courtney Strauss swept her matches, 6-0, 6-1, 6-2, to lead host Corona del Mar (1-0).
Savanna 13, Buena Park 5--Cindy Kuragami swept her sets, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, to lead host Savanna (1-0).
Rosary 16, St. Lucy’s 2--Joyce Cruz swept, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, in singles to lead visiting Rosary (2-0).
Riverside Notre Dame 10, Orange Lutheran 8--Jennifer Bodourian swept her singles, 6-4, 6-1, 6-0, for host Orange Lutheran (0-3).
Westminster 12, Los Amigos 6--Angie Tran swept her sets, 6-4, 6-0, 6-4, to lead host Westminster (2-0) over Los Amigos (1-2).
At the Rim of the World cross-country invitational, Orange Lutheran’s Travis Haynes won the three-mile race with a time of 17 minutes 46 seconds.
