Master’s Hires Coach for Women’s Basketball

Gerald Thomas has been hired as the women’s basketball coach at The Master’s College, and Jeff Hironaka has been hired as an assistant men’s basketball coach at the school.

Thomas, who served as a women’s assistant last season, replaces Dean Conk, who will remain as the women’s volleyball coach.

Thomas attended Faith Baptist High and played for Master’s during the 1988-89 season, averaging 9.9 points and 6.1 rebounds a game.

Hironaka, an assistant at Idaho State for the past three seasons, replaces Dan Swagerty, who has taken a coaching job at Forest Lawn Christian High in Auburn, Calif.
