Manpower to Sell British Units: Manpower PLC has agreed to sell five British subsidiaries for $200 million in a leveraged buyout. Chairman Mitchell Fromstein said managers of Brook Street Bureau, largest of the five British companies being sold, have formed Brook Opportunities Ltd. to make the acquisition. The other four companies are Blue Arrow Personnel Services, Extrastaff, DP Support Services and IPS Group. The companies being sold are all in the temporary- and permanent-placement business. Together they accounted for 15% to 20% of Milwaukee, Wis.-based Manpower’s sales, he said.
