PREP ROUNDUP : Weir Leads Corona del Mar Water Polo

Ryan Weir scored six goals to lead top-ranked Corona del Mar High School to a 9-5 victory over Tustin in a South Coast water polo tournament quarterfinal game Friday at Tustin.
In other South Coast tournament games:
Costa Mesa 12, University 8--Julian Popov scored six goals and Corey de la Hunt scored four to lead Costa Mesa (6-5) at Irvine.
Marina 7, Long Beach Poly 6 (OT)--Steve Fontes scored with 1:13 left in overtime in a man-advantage situation to lead Marina (5-4). Eric Goodwin had 12 saves for Marina.
In the Magnolia water polo tournament:
Mater Dei 11, Loara 1--Phil Mayer and Darien Osborne each had four goals to lead Mater Dei (4-6) at Savanna.
Brea-Olinda 11, Cerritos 7--Steve Krebs scored four goals, Kyle Kilpatrick scored three and Brian Noyes scored two to lead Brea-Olinda (11-2) into today’s round-robin play.
Brea-Olinda 13, Kennedy 7--Bryan Noyes had three goals and Kyle Kilpatrick and Steve Krebs each added two for Brea-Olinda.
