Edmonton Oiler goalie Grant Fuhr, suspended for a year by the NHL for long-term drug use, has agreed to submit to random drug tests.
General Manager Glen Sather said the Oilers have no plans to appeal Fuhr’s suspension. They can, however, ask that he be reinstated in late January. The Oilers say Fuhr, 28, has volunteered to undergo treatment.
