Covina : Funds for Anti-Drug Effort

The Covina Police Department has received $104,590 from a county drug task force to use for city drug enforcement.
The confiscated drug money was allocated by the San Gabriel Narcotics Enforcement Team, composed of state, county and city law enforcement officers.
State and federal laws require that the money be used for educational and drug prevention programs, said Lt. Dave Dietrich, the county task force’s program manager.
