Library Schedules Weeklong Festivities

DOWNEY — In celebration of National Children’s Book Week from Nov. 11 to 17, the Downey City Library will schedule a week of activities to encourage young people to read. The program, “Wonder Through the Pages,” includes Sign a Book Day on Tuesday, announcement of book jacket contest winners on Wednesday, Surprise Goodie Day on Thursday, Pet Day on Friday, and Button Day on Saturday.
