In Division 3-A second-round girls’ tennis:

Foothill 12, Redlands 6--Amanda Parson swept, 6-0, 6-1, 6-2, to lead host Foothill (18-2).

Division 2-A second-round girls’ tennis:

Mater Dei 12, Canyon Springs 6--Erika Asmuss swept at love to lead visiting Mater Dei (12-4).

Division 1-A second-round girls’ tennis:

Valencia 14, Bolsa Grande 4--Renee Williams, Allison Granger and Keri Kuykendall swept in singles to lead host Valencia (16-6).

Division 3-A second-round girls’ volleyball:

El Modena 3, South Torrance 1--Melizza Benitez had 42 assists and eight blocks and Marni Hichborn had 18 kills and nine blocks to lead El Modena (18-0) to a 9-15, 15-9, 13-15, 15-3, 15-4 victory.

Sunny Hills 3, Temple City 0--Natalie Lessey had seven kills, two aces and a block to lead Sunny Hills (14-3) to a 15-10, 15-8, 15-13 victory.
