Doctors Shipshape

Your Sept. 9 article on ship’s doctors was very interesting (“No Guarantees Ships’ Doctors Are Well-Trained”) and a little frightening since you did not name the ships where the doctors were obviously substandard.
However, I do want to highly recommend the doctor and English nurses on board the Queen Elizabeth II. I was very ill on a transatlantic trip from New York to London last year. The quality of medical care and compassion received from Dr. Nigel Roberts and the nurses was as good as, or better than, I would have received on land.
I highly recommend the staff and the equipment on board the QE II.
