* Community Psychiatric Centers, a Laguna Hills-based chain of psychiatric hospitals, Tuesday announced a change of titles among its top management.
Richard L. Conte, an executive vice president and son of James W. Conte, the company’s chairman and chief executive, was promoted to president of all of the company’s operations other than its U.S. Hospital Division.
Loren B. Shook, also an executive vice president, was named president of the hospital division. Both appointments will become effective Dec. 1.
While giving up the title of president, James W. Conte will remain CPC’s chairman and chief executive. CPC assistant treasurer Pam Huffman said the title changes were intended give “recognition” to functions that the officers involved are already performing.
