In other Division 4-A quarterfinals:

Corona del Mar 9, San Clemente 8--Brent O’Brien scored four goals, Ryan Weir scored three and Robbie Pike had 11 saves to lead Corona del Mar (26-4), which held off visiting San Clemente (18-8). Corona del Mar will play Long Beach Wilson in a semifinal Saturday with the site to be determined by a coin flip today.

Capistrano Valley 6, Newport Harbor 1--Nick Kittredge had six saves, Kevin Eggert scored three goals and Dan Hancock had two to lead Capistrano Valley (24-4) at Saddleback College.

Long Beach Wilson 11, University 8-- Steve Shedd scored four goals for University (12-12).

In a Division 2-A quarterfinal:

Costa Mesa 15, San Marino 13--Corey Delahunt had nine goals, Tony Fekete had three and Julian Popov had two for Costa Mesa (16-9) at Newport Harbor High School. Costa Mesa trailed, 9-6, at halftime and came back to lead, 14-11, with 1:14 left to play. Costa Mesa will play Dos Pueblos (17-9) Saturday with the site to be determined by a coin flip today.
