Southland Corp.: The parent of the 7-Eleven convenience store chain posted a third-quarter loss of $122.5 million, compared to a loss of $63.4 million a year earlier. Revenue inched up to $2.26 billion. The Dallas firm, which filed a prepackaged reorganization plan under Chapter 11 on Oct. 24, attributed the results to the fact it had fewer stores this year.
