A group of San Gabriel Valley companies has formed a coalition to work with local, state and federal officials to solve the problems of severe ground-water contamination.
“The coalition intends to work closely with government agencies and citizens’ groups on the complex issues that must be resolved so the ground-water cleanup can go forward,” said Jim Norman of the Carrier Corp. in the City of Industry.
Besides Carrier, other founding companies of the San Gabriel Basin Industry Coalition are Aerojet Electrosystems Co., Ajax Hardware, Azusa Land Reclamation Co., Ball Incon Glass Packaging Corp., Lucas Western Inc., Stoody Corp. and TRW Inc.
