J. Michael Brown has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing for Birtcher Medical Systems Inc., an Irvine manufacturer of electronic medical instruments. He will have sales and marketing responsibility for the company’s hospital, alternative care and international groups. Before his appointment, Brown was vice president of operations for the Salt Lake City-based catheter products division of C.R. Bard Inc.
