Suspect Arrested in Arby’s Holdup

GARDEN GROVE — A man suspected of robbing a fast-food outlet here Friday night, disguised in a fake beard and holding a handgun, was arrested just 30 minutes after the holdup.
Garden Grove Police Lt. John Woods said a man entered an Arby’s in the 10000 block of Westminster Avenue at 10:02 Friday night and demanded money.
Woods said the man took more than $1,000 in cash and drove away. Garden Grove police alerted Santa Ana police, who reportedly tracked the vehicle for about three miles.
Santa Ana police then arrested the suspect, identified as Mark Armstrong, 37, of Irvine, who was held on suspicion of armed robbery. No injuries were reported.
