19 Die in Philippine Clash

MANILA — At least 15 Communist guerrillas and four soldiers were killed over the weekend in a fierce shoot-out in the southern Philippines, the military said Monday. A military report said 18 soldiers also were wounded in the 30-minute gun battle Saturday in the remote village of San Miguel 500 miles south of Manila.
