Kealy Clarke of Laguna Beach High School, one of the best setters in Orange County, has orally committed to play volleyball at Washington.
Clarke, a four-year starter at Laguna Beach, chose Washington over California, Colorado State, Notre Dame and Virginia.
She led Laguna Beach to the Southern Section 5-A semifinals this season and was named co-most valuable player of the Pacific Coast League along with Brandi Brooks of Estancia.
Clarke also was named an All-American at the 1988 Junior Olympics and was on the all-tournament teams this season at the Orange County championships and the Redondo Power tournament.
